Common questions
I can’t sign in or don’t have an account
Access to the hosted service is currently by invitation. Ask the person who invited you to activate your account, or email us. Downloading the app alone does not create an account.
My assistant says no device is paired
Open Jervis Desktop, generate a pairing code and send its pairing request from your assistant. Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes, so generate a new one if needed. Keep the app open while you work.
My assistant can’t see my project
In the app, turn on Share project for that folder, then select Start sharing. Copy the prompt from the app into your conversation so the assistant knows which projects to use.
Edits are refused
The project is probably read-only. Allow edits for that project in the app. If folders overlap, read-only access wins. Some actions also need your approval in the assistant.
Windows shows a publisher warning
The preview installer is not code-signed yet. Download it only from desktop.jervis.cloud and compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one on the download page. You do not need to turn off any security setting.
How do I stop sharing or disconnect?
Pause sharing for a project, or close the app to stop sharing entirely. To disconnect fully, ask your assistant to revoke the device with the jervis_remote_revoke_device tool and remove the Jervis connector in ChatGPT or Claude settings.
