The short version
- Jervis is a preview. Access is by invitation and the Service may change or be interrupted.
- Your files remain yours. You decide what to share and whether your assistant may edit it.
- Your AI assistant can change files in projects you set to edit, so keep backups and review its changes.
- Use Jervis only on devices and files you are authorised to access.
1. The Service
Jervis connects project folders on your Windows PC to AI assistants that support remote MCP, such as ChatGPT and Claude. The Service is a preview: features may be incomplete, change or be withdrawn, and the Windows app is not code-signed. Access to the hosted Service requires an invitation and an activated account.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. Keep your sign-in details and paired devices secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity under your account and on devices you pair with it.
3. Your files and permissions
You keep all rights in your files and content. You give us permission to process, store and transmit the content your assistant requests, only as needed to operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.
You choose the projects you share and whether each is read-only or editable. When you allow edits, your assistant can create, change or overwrite files in that project. Keep backups, review changes and do not share folders containing data you are not permitted to disclose to your AI provider.
4. AI providers
Your AI assistant is provided by a third party, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, under its own terms and policies. We do not control AI outputs and are not responsible for the accuracy of its answers or for actions it takes with the permissions you grant.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to access devices, accounts or files without authorisation;
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or distribute malware;
- bypass or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
- overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers; or
- share your account or resell access to the Service.
6. Software licence
The Jervis Desktop software is licensed under the MIT License. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under that licence. These Terms govern the hosted Service, the website and your account.
7. Fees
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce fees, we will tell you before they apply, and you can choose whether to continue.
8. Availability and changes
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, and will give reasonable notice of discontinuation where practical.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service or from actions taken by your AI assistant. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time: close or uninstall the app, revoke your devices and remove the connector from your assistant. To delete your account and stored data, email keroloszakaria2@gmail.com. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Egyptian courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and give notice on this website before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms. If the English and Arabic versions differ, the English version prevails.
